Albert Thompson, 74, of Tompkinsville, KY passed away Thursday, August 8th, at Monroe County Medical Center.
Albert was born in Burkesville, KY on October 15, 1949, a son of the late Regina (Aaron) and Albert “Buster” Thompson.
Albert married Charline Spear on December 19, 1969 at Union Church #1 in Fountain Run, KY.
He was retired from Beldon and he had worked as a logger and farmer also. Albert was a member and led singing at Mill Creek Baptist Church. He enjoyed music and collecting antiques.
Albert is survived by his wife of 54 years, Charline Thompson, of Tompkinsville, KY; two daughters, Jennifer Copass, and husband, Eric, of Clementsville, TN and Stephanie Carter, of Tompkinsville, KY and a son, Jamie Thompson, and wife, Cheryl, of Tompkinsville, KY; five grandchildren, Brady Thompson, Kayla Walker and husband Jeffrey, Clay Copass and wife Katelyn, Kaleb Carter and wife Abbie and Rachel Copass.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 11th at Yokley Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, KY, with burial to follow at Monroe County Memorial Lawn.
Visitation is Saturday, 5-8 p.m. and Sunday 8:00 a.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. at Yokley Trible Funeral Home.
