On July 30th, the Glasgow Police Department arrested a local man, Steven Smith, on multiple drug charges. The arrest took place on Columbia Avenue when Officer Trey Wyatt made contact with Smith and confirmed that he had an active warrant.
During the encounter, Officer Wyatt conducted a search and discovered Methamphetamine, Marijuana, and Drug Paraphernalia in Smith’s pants pocket. Consequently, Smith was taken into custody and charged with several offenses, including Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of a Controlled Substance in the First Degree (Methamphetamine), marking his third or subsequent offense.
In addition to these charges, Smith was served with the active warrant.
