It is with great sadness we announce the death of Shirley Dean Parsons Davis who entered eternal rest on July 28, 2024 at the age of 82, surrounded by family at her home in Bowling Green, KY. She was a longstanding member of the Primitive Baptist Church Faith.
Shirley was preceded in death by her mother, Winnie Witham Parsons, her father, Ralph Parsons, her beloved son, Richard Eric Davis, and beloved nephew, Grant Cesler.
Shirley was known for her kindness, generosity, sense of humor, and unending love for her family and friends. She was a light in many lives and will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Richard Davis, her daughter, Leslie Ryann Davis, her sister, Bette Parsons, her brother, Bobby Parsons, her granddaughter, Maia Grace Davis-Mujic (“My Precious Girl”), and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The funeral service for Shirley will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel, with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery #2. Visitation at the funeral home will be Wednesday from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM.
