Mrs. Sybil June (McWhorter) Spears, of Albany, Kentucky, passed away, Sunday, July 28, 2024 at her residence in Clinton County, Kentucky, having attained the age of 84 years, 5 months, and 30 days. She was born in Albany, Kentucky on Monday, January, 29, 1940, the daughter of Ralph & Dorothy (Means) McWhorter. She was of the Baptist faith, a member of Clearfork Baptist Church, and was an outstanding Music Teacher. She is preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Spears, whom she wed Friday, June 30,1961, daughter, Tanya (& Tony) Wilson all of Albany, Kentucky, sister, Libby Mullinix of Burkesville, Kentucky, grandsons, Duncan Boyd, and Connor Wilson.
The funeral service will be conducted on Friday, August 2, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. C.S.T. in the Memory Chapel of Campbell-New Funeral Home with Bro. Bob Sawyer and Bro. David Stearns officiating. The family will receive friends after 6:00 p.m. C.S.T. Thursday, August 1, 2024 at the funeral home until 9:00 p.m. C.S.T. and again Friday, at 6:00 a.m. C.S.T. until the funeral hour. Burial will be in the McWhorter Hillcrest Cemetery in Clinton County, Kentucky. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Hillcrest Cemetery, 91 Peolia Church Rd., Albany, Kentucky, 42602.
