This Saturday, August 3rd Monroe County is hosting an event that will gain regional attention called Monroe on Main.
This downtown gathering ,which will take place from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., will include a barbecue cook off, marble games and marble making, a pitch tournament, a watermelon eating contest and a traditional flat footing dance contest and lots of booths and vendors.
There will also be a Cruise-in at Monroe on Main. Cruise-in participants should enter Main Street from the Dairy Queen. Attendants are asked to wear their favorite Monroe County team attire.
