On Thursday, July 25th, the Glasgow Police Department responded to an injury accident at the intersection of Smith Road and N L Roger Wells Blvd.
The incident involved a 2012 GMC Acadia driven by Deloris Short and a 2008 Pontiac operated by Misty Buchanan.
According to the police report, Deloris Short was traveling northbound on N L Roger Wells Blvd when she became distracted and failed to see the Pontiac.
The GMC Acadia struck the Pontiac in the rear bumper area. As a result, Misty Buchanan sustained injuries and was transported to T J Samson Hospital by Barren-Metcalfe EMS for treatment. Fortunately, no other injuries were reported in the accident.
Officer Patrick Wade conducted the investigation, with assistance from Barren-Metcalfe EMS and the Glasgow Fire Department. The cause of the distraction that led to the accident was not specified in the report.
