The Barren County Coroner has confirmed the identity of the woman who perished in a house fire over the weekend in Glasgow.
Tim Gibson, the coroner, announced that dental records identified the victim as Heather Michelle Ferguson Berube, 41.
Both the autopsy and toxicology reports are still pending.
The tragic fire occurred on July 20th at 117 Hummingbird Lane, leading to a death investigation after Berube’s body was found around 7 a.m., as reported by Glasgow Police Major Terry Flatt.
An autopsy was conducted by the state medical examiner in Louisville as part of standard protocol to exclude any foul play.
The investigation by the Glasgow Police Department is ongoing, and no additional details have been released at this time.
Glasgow Fire Department stated that the cause of the fire is still under investigation, and no further information is currently available.
Funeral services for Berube will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 28th at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Henderson Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Saturday, July 27th from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on the morning of the 28th from 8 a.m. until time for the service at the funeral home.
