Gayle was a dedicated father who courageously raised 3 daughters alone; and that’s no easy task. So, to provide for his family, he began his career at Albany Mills at a young age. After years of dedication and hard work, Gayle purchased the mill, now known to many as Bowlin’s Feed. With the help of his family and grandson, Colton, the business still continues to serve the community as it has for almost 40 years. He always treasured the many friendships from the mill customers who became an extended family to him. Being a workaholic, there wasn’t much time for hobbies, but when given a chance, he’d be found at Bend of the River, trapshooting. It was not uncommon for him to go 100 for 100.
Those of you who know him, know that the mill, farming, and his family were his life. If you knew him, you loved him.
