Larry Gene Baker of Greensburg, Kentucky, son of the late Clayton Martin Baker and Martha Irene Lucas Baker, was born on Monday. May 28, 1951, in Brown County, Indiana and departed this life on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville. He was 73 years and 25 days of age.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ, was a retired masonry worker, and a “Jack of all trades”.
Survived by his wife of 34 years, Linda Joyce Bussey Baker of Greensburg, having united in marriage on December 25, 1989.
Other survivors include five daughters and two sons-in-law: Lisa and Willard Moudy of Greensburg, Jeanie Baker of New York, Tammy Jo Eacret of Indiana, Carrie Ann Haynes of Florida, Nicki Allen of Florida, Jessica and Matt Taylor of Greensburg; one son: Billy Smith, Sr. of Greensburg; 17 grandchildren: Jamie Taylor, Myles Taylor, Rachel Smith, Frankie Moudy, Summer Moudy, Maria Sexton, Johnny Sexton, Blair Matney, Dewey Matney, Willard Moudy III, Monica Moudy, Mlyndia Evens, Billy Smith, Jr., Destiny Cox, Manny Moudy, Jacob Moudy, Abby Moudy, Melissa Moudy, Tristia Moudy; 13 great- grandchildren: Nevaeh Sexton, CJ Sexton, Ethan Sexton, Mary Sexton, Aubree Matney, Lilly Matney, Vivian Matney, Lucian Matney, Shawn Moudy, Austin McCoy Cox, Aurora Cox Smith, Jeffrey Evens, Jaxton Greer; four sisters: Gloria Weeks and fiancé, Milton Edwards, Kathy and Stanley Blankinship, Shela Musslewhite and her partner, Joe Topper, Linda Marlen Baker and her partner, Austin Marcus; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mr. Baker was also preceded in death by a daughter: Shelly Baker; two sisters: Bonnie Smith and Sharon Bledsoe; two brothers: Roger Baker and Dean Baker; and a best friend: Norvel Jones.

The funeral services for Larry Gene Baker will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Central Time, Thursday, June 27, 2024, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Greensburg Cemetery.
Visitation is requested after 10:00 A.M., Central Time, Thursday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home until time of the funeral service.
