Park City Bark Park: Where every dog has his day

Jun 20, 2024 | 3:57 PM

The air was filled with joyous barks and the scent of fresh grass as Park City celebrated the grand opening of its long-awaited Bark Park Thursday, June 20th.

Located conveniently across from Park City Elementary, the new dog park promises to be a haven for the city’s canine residents and their human companions.

City officials, community members, and excited furry friends gathered for the ribbon-cutting ceremony, marking the culmination of years of dedicated work and planning.

The park features spacious running areas, and agility courses for the more athletic pups.

The design of the park ensures that dogs of all sizes have a place to play. Local elementary school students also attended the opening, their eyes wide with excitement as they watched the dogs frolic and play.

Laughter and barking filled the air as new friendships were formed on both ends of the leash.

Park City Mayor, Larry Poteet, commented on the synergy between residents and officials to make the vision of the park a reality.

The community came together not just to celebrate the opening of a new park, but to embrace a shared vision of a more connected and vibrant Park City.

The Bark Park is open daily from dawn till dusk, ensuring ample time for dogs and their owners to enjoy this new community gem.

So, grab your leash and head to the Bark Park, where tails are wagging, and spirits are high. It’s the perfect spot for a paws-itively wonderful time.
