Barbara Jean Costellow, 66, of Bedford, KY passed away on May 5, 2024, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. Born on July 18, 1957, in Russellville, KY, she was the daughter of George and Imogene (Woodward) Costellow.
Barbara was a graduate of Chandlers High School in Russellville, KY. She served her Trimble County community as the Agency Manager of Farm Bureau Insurance. Barbara’s “childlike enthusiasm for life was infectious. She passed it on to every person and everything she touched. Her love for her family, her friends, for God, and for God’s creations was always evident. Barbara has left a tremendous empty space in all our hearts and in the world that will never completely be filled.
She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband, Terry Lane of Bedford, KY; her mother, Imogene Costellow of Russellville, KY; her grandchildren, Jason, Quinton, Caitlyn, and Ethon Jenkins, Caden, and Ethan Isabell, Nevan Lane his companion Fantasy; one great-grandchild Nevan Lane, Jr.; one Aunt Margaret Goodman of Russellville, KY, and many loving family and friends all of whom will miss her dearly.
She is preceded in death by her father, one son Jason David Jenkins, and one brother Michael Costellow.
Funeral services for Barbara Jean Costellow will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, May 10, 2024, at Summers and Son Funeral Home with Bro. Kenny Chyle officiating with burial to follow in Plainview Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home on Friday will be held from 10:00 am until the service hour of 1:00 pm.
