In a heartwarming display of courage and determination, six-year-old Paislee Howard is baking cookies to raise funds for her upcoming open-heart surgery scheduled for this month.

To instill a sense of responsibility and independence, Paislee’s parents supported their daughter’s idea of selling cookies to pay for the operation, as Howard explains.

“It’s a great trait for someone to have, to want to work for what you have,” Howard said. The family is already in the process of obtaining an LLC. to sweeten the community around them.

Howard explained the order and delivery process the family has worked out with residents.

Paislee’s impending hospital stay is anticipated to span at least five days, with a potentially lengthy recovery period of up to eight weeks.

Despite grappling with daunting health complications at such a tender age, Paislee exudes positivity and energy. She credits her unwavering bravery to the constant support of her family, including her parents, brother, kitten, and dog.

Howard shared that Paislee meets the face of adversity with a smile, a lesson not lost on her parents and one that many adults could learn from.

With each cookie sold, Paislee’s resilience shines brighter, affirming her determination to overcome this challenge with a radiant smile and an indomitable spirit.
