GLASGOW – On Friday, Glasgow High School hosted several members of the 2004 Glasgow Scottie baseball team to recognize the 20th anniversary of their 4th Region Championship.
“We talked about the comradery of the team. That’s probably the biggest memory I have,” said former Assistant Coach, Steven Murphy. “The boys got along so well and all pulled in the same direction for the common goal.”
Glasgow claimed the 4th Region title after securing a 5-4 win over Greenwood at Bowling Green on June 4, 2004. On their path to the regional championship, the Scotties won four straight games, while also claiming the 15th District Championship against Allen County-Scottsville, 6-1.
GHS finished the 2004 season with a 25-5 record after falling to Heath, 2-1 in the State Baseball Tournament at Bowling Green.
