A Press Release from the Glasgow Police Department:
On May 3rd, the Glasgow Police Department responded to an injury accident on Trojan Trail that involved a Barren County School Bus.
Officers determined that a 2006 Nissan Pathfinder operated by Larry Gibson of Murfreesboro TN. attempted to make a left turn out of the Barren County School Parking Lot onto Trojan Trail and pulled into the path of a 2007 Chevy Trailblazer being operated by Layla Smith of Glasgow which caused her vehicle to collide with the Barren County Bus being operated by Brian Long of Cave City Ky.
There were 30 students on board the bus at the time of the collision.
Layla Smith was treated for facial injuries and one student was treated for back pain.
Neither Gibson nor Long suffered any injuries.
The accident was investigated by Officer Jarrett Graber.
GPD Major Terry Flatt confirmed with WCLU that alcohol nor drugs were suspected to be a factor.
