Linda Faye Grimes Young, age 80, passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at the Hospice House in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The Warren County native was born to the late Coy Elmer and Lucy Dean (Wilson) Grimes on June 15, 1943. She attended Bowling Green Business College and worked at the Kentucky Internal Revenue Department. She married Jackie Kimble Young on August 24, 1962.
She then dedicated her life to being a full time mother and homemaker. She was a faithful Christian and a member of Penns Chapel Church of Christ. She taught Bible class in past years. She was a dedicated daughter, wife, sister and mother. She spent much of her life in service to family. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren brought her the greatest joy.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents Coy and Lucy Grimes, sisters Joyce Monroe (Presley Jr), Lovenia Hendrick and Donna Clines (Charles) and two infant siblings.
Survivors include her husband Jackie Kimble Young; daughter Kim Hart (Kenny), son Jared Young (Emily), daughter Amy Copas (Shannon); grandchildren Lindsey (Sam) McCarty, Katelyn Young, Kallie Hart and Stone Copas; great grandchildren Trevor, Willow, Emmett, Rain, Arya; brother in law Paul Hendrick; several nieces and nephews and special friend Janice Gross.
Visitation will be Sunday, April 14th from 2:00 – 8:00 pm and Monday, April 15th from 9:00 – 11:00 am with funeral services at 11:00 am at J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel. Burial will follow in Bowling Green Gardens.
