The Tompkinsville Police Department made two drug arrests this weekend. Diego Morales of Tompkinsville was served a search warrant at Carter Court Apartments on Friday. K9 Officer Ty Hammer and Officer Tayde Capshaw’s search led to the discovery of 9.5 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 8 M30 Fentanyl pills, and 2 glass pipes. Morales was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Fentanyl, and Possesion of Drug Paraphernalia.
On Saturday, Officer Aaron Capshaw with the Monroe County Sheriff’s office was on routine patrol when he observed a 91 red Chevrolet pickup driving in a reckless manner at the intersection of 4th and Main Street in Tompkinsville. Officer Capshaw conducted a traffic stop where he gained information through dispatch that the male driver was operating a motorized vehicle on a DUI suspended license. A search of the vehicle yielded 8.9g of marijuana, 2.9g of methamphetamine, 2 gabapentin, and 3 amphetamine pills.
Austin Pruitt of Tompkinsville was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana and Methamphetamine, as well as Prescription of a Controlled Substance Not In Proper Container, and Dring on a DUI Suspended license.
