Glasgow Senior Luke Simmons signs letter of intent to play football at Lindsey Wilson College

GLASGOW – Luke Simmons, a senior student-athlete at Glasgow High School, signed his letter of intent to play collegiate football at Lindsey Wilson College on Thursday in the cafeteria of Glasgow High School.

“I’ve always wanted to play college football,” said Simmons as he signed the dotted line. “It’s been a big goal of mine and it’s just a great day, it feels unreal”. Listen to the full interview with sports director, Joe Myers below.

During his four seasons playing center for the Scotties, Simmons earned many honors including being named to the 2022 All Sky Conference 2nd Team Offense and the 2023 All Sky Conference 1st Team Offense. He was also a member of the 2020 and 2021 District Championship teams and was named a 2021 Region Champion following Glasgow’s 48-42 victory over Bardstown.

“I’m happy for Luke,” said Glasgow football head coach, Jeff Garmon. “I’m happy he has an opportunity to continue his education, but also an opportunity to continue to play football and represent our school and community at Lindsey Wilson.” Listen to the full interview with sports director, Joe Myers below.

The 2023 Blue Raiders finished their season going 7-3 overall and 4-2 in conference play, while averaging 353.4 yards/game and 36.4 points/game. Lindsey Wilson fell to #8 Bethel University of Tennessee 34-8 in their final game of the season in McKenzie, TN.
