Sherry Marlene Lyles passed away at The Medical Center surrounded by family on December 28, 2023. She is survived by her son, Trevor Lyles and his spouse Allison Lyles, Father Bernard Smith, brothers Sammy Smith (Gina Smith), and Rick Smith (Nicole Smith), her cherished nephews and nieces Jacob Smith (Megan Smith), Allison Smith, Ryan Smith (Haley Allen), Garrett Smith (Layla Loftis). And her beloved great niece Caroline and great nephew Lucas. She is preceded in death by her mother, Jo Ann Smith.
Gardening, her pool, Elvis and her granddogs are some of the things she held close to her heart. She always said she was lucky to have granddogs/cats because she could pick her favorite, and her girl Glenn Coco was just that. Sherry was a fierce protector of all things she loved, she was a loving mother, THE fun aunt, the coolest mother-in-law, and the best friend a person could have. She loved and protected no one harder than her son Trevor. Sherry proudly worked for Bell, Orr, Ayres, and Moore, P.S.C for 27 years and loved her boss, coworkers, and friends she made there.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, January 6, 2024 at J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel. Visitation will be from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 6th at the funeral home.
