At approximately 9:30 pm Saturday, December 23, 2023, Kentucky State Police Post 03 received a call from the Scottsville Police Department requesting assistance with a fatal collision. Troopers responded to the scene of the collision at 3951 Old Hartsville Road In Allen County.
A preliminary investigation indicates that a juvenile operator of Scottsville, KY, was operating a maroon 2007 Nissan Altima on Old Hartsville Road in Scottsville. The juvenile lost control of the vehicle, causing the vehicle to leave the roadway. After the vehicle left the roadway, the vehicle overturned and struck a tree. The juvenile operator had succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. A juvenile passenger in the vehicle also of Scottsville, KY, was transported to Vanderbilt where she will be treated for her injuries.
The investigation is being led by Trooper Grant Robertson. He was assisted at the scene by Scottsville Police Department, Allen County EMS and KSP personnel.
