Nov 28, 2023 | 6:13 PM

The Kentucky League of Cities presented Glasgow City Clerk Mona Simmons and Safety Manager Lance Crimmins each with a Level I Achievement of City Governance award which requires a city official to attend a minimum of 29 hours of approved training with one additional hour of ethics training. The Level II Excellence in City Governance award  that Councilmember Terry Bunnell received requires a city official to attend a minimum of 58 hours of approved training with two additional hours of ethics training.

KLC administers the City Officials Training Center, a voluntary education program. City officials can complete education levels by attending KLC events and submitting outside educational credit from other municipal training.

The number of city officials who participate in our training center each year is a testament to their dedication to the community they serve,” said KLC Executive Director and CEO James D. Chaney. “Continuing education is vital to the success of our city officials, and KLC is proud to provide a wide variety of opportunities to our members.”
