The expected traffic impacts in the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 3 area for November 17 through November 24 are listed below. All work is subject to change.
Allen County
- KY 101 – A utility project by the City of Scottsville in Allen County has temporarily closed a section of KY 101. The closure on KY 101 is between E. Poplar Street and E. Cedar Street at mile point 0.2. Trucks and other large vehicles need to seek alternate route. Trucks will be prohibited north of the square and south of Southern States.
Barren County
- KY 90 – Paving will continue from KY 839 to the Metcalfe County line. Work is nearing completion. Some finishing touches remain so please use caution in this area.
- U.S. 31-EX – A section of U.S. 31-EX (Business) in the City of Glasgow in Barren County is set for a multiple-day closure. The road will close between the downtown square and Front Street at Water Street. Access to businesses in the area will be maintained. The closure is expected to begin on Monday, Nov. 20 through Wednesday, Nov. 22 from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. The work is weather-dependent and there is rain in the forecast so the closure dates may change.
Todd County
- U.S. 79 (Mile point 7.5 to 7.7) – The project at the bridge over Elk Fork Creek continues. One-lane traffic with temporary traffic signal should be expected. A width restriction of 11’ is in place. The project will take several months to complete.
- U.S. 79 (Mile point 1.5 to 2.7) – Paving operations for the new alignment of U.S. 79 from KY 346 continues. Motorists should expect one-lane traffic with flaggers.
