Kentucky State Police, Post 13, in Hazard, received a call in reference to a logger being injured on the job located on Williams Rd, in the Vancleve community of Breathitt County on Thursday, November 16, 2023 around 3PM..
Troopers, along with emergency medical personnel responded to the scene. Upon arrival, preliminary investigation revealed that Taylor Neace Jr, 40, of Lost Creek, was attempting to cut a tree when it fell into his path striking him. Neace was pronounced deceased on scene by Breathitt County Coroner’s Office.
Neace was transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsy. This incident remains under investigation by Trooper Jeremy Moore.
