(November 6, 2023) Scottsville, KY — Two Tennessee residents were arrested on drug related charges following a traffic stop in Scottsville.
Around 1:57am on November 2nd, Scottsville Police stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. Through investigation, officers discovered a quantity of methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and a .223 AR-style rifle in the vehicle.
Officers arrested the driver, 33-year-old Andrea N. Swanner of Franklin, Tennessee, and 34-year-old John E. Malloy of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, the passenger and registered owner of the vehicle.
Swanner was charged with driving on a DUI-suspended license, no registration plates, first degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and tampering with physical evidence.
Malloy was charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place, possession of an open alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle, first degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Swanner and Malloy were lodged in the Allen County Detention Center.
