London, Ky. (October 30, 2022) – Kentucky State Police are investigating a fatal fire in Laurel County.
Around 1:00am Monday, KSP Post 11 in London received a call from Laurel County Dispatch for assistance with a structure fire on Terrell Road, south of London in Laurel County.
After the fire was extinguished, firefighters discovered the remains of one human inside the burned residence. The victim was 54-year-old Melissa S. Creech of London, KY. Laurel County Coroner’s Office pronounced Creech dead on scene. Investigators are working together to determine the cause of the fire.
Kentucky State Police Trooper Steve Walker is continuing the investigation.
The Kentucky Fire Marshalls Office, several Local Fire Departments and Laurel County Coroner’s Office assisted him at the scene.
