CLARKSON, Ky. (Oct. 24, 2023) – Kentucky State Police are investigating a two-vehicle collision that killed a Clarkson woman Monday evening.
Around 6:45pm Monday, KSP Post 4 received a call from the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office requesting assistance in investigating a fatal collision near the 8000 block of Peonia Road (Hwy 88) near the intersection of Old Peonia Loop.
The preliminary investigation determined that Kaleb Stutzman, 19 of Clarkson, was driving a 2019 Ford F450 commercial vehicle towing a trailer westbound on Peonia Road. The trailer was transporting an over-dimensional portable shed.
Lisa Meredith, 56 of Clarkson, was driving a 2006 Ford Crown Victoria eastbound when she struck the shed on the driver’s side, left the roadway and traveled down an embankment.
The Grayson County Coroner’s Office pronounced Meredith dead at the scene. Stutzman reported no injuries.
The affected portion of Peonia Road was reduced to one lane for several hours in order to allow troopers to reconstruct the collision.
The Grayson County Sheriff’s Office, Grayson County EMS, and the Grayson County Coroner’s Office assisted KSP at the scene.
The collision remains under investigation.
