GLASGOW – The Barren County Sheriff’s Office is reminding tax payers that their Barren County tax bills will look different this year.
You will no longer receive the traditional “yellow” cards for your tax bill. Earlier this year, the office was informed that they would no longer be able to obtain the yellow cardstock that they have always used. As a result, the Sheriff’s office had to choose a new way to print the bills.
The tax bills will now be printed on a full sheet of paper and mailed inside a white envelope. You can see an example of the new bills on the Barren County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page.
Tax bills will be mailed on October 30th, and the office will begin collecting payments on November 1st. As always, a 2% discount applies until November 30th.
Taxpayers may pay their bills in the Barren County Sheriff’s office, by mail, or make payments online at barrencountysheriff.ky.gov.
