Bowling Green, KY – A Bowling Green man was sentenced on September 25 for methamphetamine trafficking and firearms offenses.
According to court documents, Jimmy Norris, 46, was sentenced to 15 years in prison, followed by a 3-year term of supervised release, for possessing with the intent to distribute more than 23 grams of methamphetamine, illegally possessing a sawed-off shotgun that was not registered under the National Firearms Act, and possessing three handguns, two rifles, and a sawed-off shotgun as a convicted felon.
Norris was prohibited from possessing a firearm because he had previously been convicted of felony offenses in 2006, 2012, and 2016.
There is no parole in the federal system.
The ATF Bowling Green Field Office and the Bowling Green/Warren County Appalachia High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Drug Task Force investigated the case.
