Larry Dewayne Deweese, age 80 of Cecilia KY departed this life on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at Baptist Health Hospital in Elizabethtown. Larry was born on February 23, 1943 to the late Cleo and Pauline Deweese. He was married sixty-one years to Bertie Johnson Deweese, who survives.
Larry grew up in a loving, Christian home, and was saved at the age of twelve at Midway United Missionary Baptist Church. Larry joined Hardin County First United Baptist Church in 1975, where he remained a member until his passing. He worked hard for his family at General Electric in Louisville KY, until his retirement in 1997, after thirty-two years of service.
Besides his wife, he leaves to honor his memory— his children, Sharon Deweese and Barry (Rebecca) Deweese of Cecilia; brother, Shannon Deweese (Faye) of Cecilia; two grandsons, his pride and joy, Alex and Benjamin Deweese. Larry was preceded in death by his daughter, Debra Lynn Deweese.
Interment will be in Sweeden Church Cemetery.
