Glasgow man arrested and charged following attempted robbery at U.S. Bank on Friday

GLASGOW – On Friday, the Glasgow Police Department was dispatched to the U.S. Bank on 100 Wall Street in reference to a robbery in progress.

Upon arrival, Officers located a male subject identified as Adam J. Wood, 42, of Glasgow, and confirmed that he had entered the bank handing the teller a note that stated “ I have a gun, give me $500.00” . The teller handed Wood the money and he left through the front door of the bank.

The stolen money was recovered, there were more customers inside the bank however there were no injuries.

Adam J. Wood, of Glasgow, was arrested and charged with Robbery 1st Degree, he was lodged in the Barren County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in court on Monday, September. 25 at 12:30PM.

The arrest was made by Officer Ross Roderick. He was assisted by several Officers with the Glasgow Police Department.
