SCOTTSVILLE – On August 19, at approximately 3PM, the Scottsville Police responded to a motor vehicle accident with injury at the intersection of US 31-E and KY 100.
Preliminary investigation determined that a 2017 Nissan driven by Jon L. Osborne, 63, of Scottsville, was traveling South on US 31 E attempting to make a left turn onto KY 100. A 2008 Yamaha motorcycle driven by Jeffrey E. Maugeri, 59, of Bethpage, TN and a passenger Betty K. Johnson, 57, of Prescott Valley, AZ were traveling North on US 31-E. The Nissan turned left into the path of the motorcycle causing the collision.
Both passengers on the motorcycle sustained injuries and were airlifted to Skyline Hospital in Nashville, TN by Air Evac. Osborne was not injured however alcohol was believed to be a factor in the accident.
Osborne was arrested on scene and charged with Operating motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol (Aggravated). He was lodged in the Allen County Detention Center.
