James Russell McDaniel, 89, of Scottsville, KY passed away Wednesday, August 16,, 2023 at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky. The Carthage, TN native was a farmer, a retired employee of Richardson Battery Company, a U.S Navy veteran, member of Liberty Missionary Baptist Church, Graham Lodge #208 F & A M and Halfrey Dalton VFW Post 5712. He was a son of the late Robert Henry McDaniel and Dortha Mae Roe McDaniel and husband of the late Anna Faye Hardcastle McDaniel.
He is survived by 3 nieces: Cynthia Floyd, Nashville, TN; Connie Allen, Gulf Port, MS and Cheree Bailey and husband, Rob, Nashville, TN;
5 great nephews: R. T. Bailey, Jacob Bailey, Will Bailey, David Hardcastle and Seth Hardcastle.
He was preceded in death by a sister: Bonnie Faye Floyd and husband, Jack; and a nephew: Jack Allen.
Funeral service will be 9:00 a.m. Saturday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Charlie Ausbrooks officiating and burial in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday and after 7:00 a.m. Saturday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home. Graham Lodge #208 F & A M will hold masonic rites at 7:00 p.m. Friday at Goad Funeral Home. All master masons wishing to participate should meet at Graham Lodge at 6:30 p.m.
