GLASGOW – On Friday, Mayor Henry Royse issued his written findings and decision in the pending disciplinary matter regarding Officer Guy Turcotte of the Glasgow Police Department.
Following a due process hearing conducted pursuant to Kentucky law, Mayor Royse’s decision is to immediately terminate Officer Turcotte from service.
Turcotte, 57, was faced with sexual assault allegations stemming from an incident that allegedly took place in January 2023. A woman, who’s identity and place of employment are being concealed, alleges that he touched her in an inappropriate manner during an encounter where Turcotte inquired about pet grooming, according to an IPO filed.
Turcotte was placed on administrative leave in February 2023 due to a pending investigation being led by the Glasgow Police Department and Kentucky State Police.
