GLASGOW – On Tuesday, at the Grove, the Barren County Chamber of Commerce joined members of the T.J. Regional Heath Board of Directors to welcome their newest resident physicians.
These doctors of medicine will become the University of Louisville’s Glasgow Family Medicine Residency Program class of 2026.
– Alexander Moore, MD – Dr. Alex Moore hails from Westview, KY, and pursued his undergraduate education at Campbellsville University. He subsequently obtained his medical degree from the University of Pikeville – Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine. During his leisure time, Dr. Moore finds immense pleasure in immersing himself in captivating stories, be it through reading, indulging in tabletop board games, or embarking on personal adventures while traveling. Additionally, he embraces his role as the loyal servant to his two feline companions, Ghost and Nugget.
– Zachary Setters, MD – Dr. Zachary Setters hails from Florence, KY. He pursued his undergraduate studies at Berea College in Berea, Kentucky, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology. His journey continued at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, where he obtained his Medical Degree. Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Setters finds joy in various outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, fishing, and hunting. He also cherishes quality time spent with his loved ones, prioritizing family connections.
– Ethan Smith, MD – Dr. Ethan Smith originates from Burkesville, KY. He pursued his undergraduate education at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, where he accomplished a bachelor’s degree in biology. Later, he attained his Medical Degree from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. Dr. Smith finds pleasure in a range of hobbies, including camping, fishing, engaging in shooting sports, and cherishing moments with his family.
The Glasgow-based Residency Program, established in May 1997 through the cooperative efforts of local leadership, T.J. Samson Community Hospital and the University of Louisville, concentrates on training physicians for practice in rural-based communities that span several counties and support over 200,000 people. The support of the Glasgow-Barren County community for the T.J. Samson Family Medicine Residency Program is greatly appreciated.
