LOUISVILLE – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of a right lane closure on Interstate 71 South from 9 a.m. Monday, June 12 through 8 p.m. Sunday, June 18, between mile marker 21 and mile marker 20.
Contract crews will be performing excavation, subgrade and asphalt preparation for the construction of the new interchange in Oldham County. The lane closure is necessary to provide crews space to work safely on the interstate.
Motorists should obey restrictions and drive cautiously through the construction zone. It is advised to seek an alternate route if possible. For project details, click here. The expected completion date for the project is fall 2024.
