META – On Wednesday, Kentucky State Police Pikeville Post received a call at 06:16 a.m. reporting a single vehicle collision that occurred on State Highway 194 in the Meta community of Pike County. A trooper from Post 9 responded and began the investigation.
The initial investigation indicated Jerrod Stanley, 35 years old of Pikeville, was operating a 2015 Chevrolet Cruze on State Highway 194, when Stanley’s vehicle exited the roadway and overturned. Stanley was pronounced deceased on scene by the Pike County Coroner’s Office.
Trooper Jason McLellan is investigating the collision and was assisted on scene by Lifeguard Ambulance Service.
