GREASY CREEK – On Wednesday, Kentucky State Police Pikeville Post received a call at 02:17 a.m. reporting a single vehicle collision that occurred on Kentucky Route 3174 in the Greasy Creek community of Pike County. A trooper from Post 9 responded and began the investigation.
The initial investigation indicated Clifford Belcher, 47 years old of Elkhorn City, was operating a 1993 Pontiac Grand Prix on Kentucky Route 3174, when Belcher’s vehicle exited the roadway and overturned. Belcher was pronounced deceased on scene by the Pike County Coroner’s Office.
Trooper Adam Pierce is investigating the collision and was assisted on scene by Lifeguard Ambulance Service.
