May 30, 2023 (Russell Co., KY) — A wrong turn has ended the life of a recent high school graduate.
Authorities say two teenagers left an event with friends at Lake Cumberland over the weekend, and the driver took a wrong turn out of a driveway and drove into the lake.
Police say it’s so dark in that area at night that it’s not uncommon for a vehicle to drive into the lake.
The accident happened on Clifty Creek Road. Cameron Powell of Somerset was killed.
