Two students at Red Cross Elementary were recognized as finalists in this year’s KET Young Writers Contest.
The contest is an annual contest that encourages creative expression and literacy development. Students are invited to submit original writing across four categories of stories – illustrated, short, poetry, and graphic novels.
Acey Houchens was named a finalist in the “Short Story” primary division for her story “How To Train Your Big Sister: A Little Sister’s Guide To Success.”
Latcher Harbison was named a finalist in the “short story” primary division for his story “The Riddle House.”
This is Acey and Latchers second year in a row to be recognized as finalists in the contest.
