PHELPS, Ky. (May 12, 2023) – A Phelps, Kentucky man is dead and another man is charged with murder after a Kentucky State Police investigation.
The KSP Pikeville Post received a 911 call on Friday, May 12, at 7:43 a.m. regarding a shooting in Pike County.
Investigators responded to a residence on State Highway 194 East, and discovered a male had been shot. The initial investigation indicates Sterlin Justice Junior discharged a firearm fatally striking William Working, 34, of Phelps.
Pike County Coroner’s Office pronounced Working deceased at the scene.
Sterlin Justice Junior was arrested and lodged in the Pike County Detention Center. Justice is currently charged with Murder.
