Robert Perry King, age 81, of Cave City passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at Signature Healthcare of Glasgow. He was born on July 18, 1941 in Cow Creek, KY to the late Ollie Perry and Dorothy Powell King. He was married to his wife of fifty-four years, Linda Gonterman King.
Robert was a member of Highland United Methodist Church, Park City Masonic Lodge #934 F&AM and a honorary member of Washington Meredith Masonic Lodge #355 F&AM. He worked in management for National Park Concessions, Inc. for thirty-four years, serving at Mammoth Cave Hotel Operations, Olympic National Park in Washington and Isle Royale National Park in Michigan. Robert served in the U.S. Army for four years, teaching the English language in Japan for two of those years.
Besides his wife he is survived by children, Derek Wayne King of Cave City, Jamie Bret King (Shannon) of Lexington and Robin Brooke King of Louisville; grandchildren, Noah, Olivia and Morgan King; brother, Paul Wayne King (Teresa); brothers-in-law, Stanley Gonterman and Yandell Ramsey; nieces, Carmen Gentile (Jesse), Tina Chatoney (Jeromey), Chasity Gonterman and Eschelle King, and nephew, Shane Gonterman (Kathey).

Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery.
