GLASGOW – The Barren County Fiscal Court is slated to have two special-called meetings on Friday afternoon.

The first meeting will begin at 2:30 p.m. The notice of the meeting was released to the media just after 11 a.m. on Thursday.

Among other items, the agenda includes the authorization to file a petition to dissolve a trust and transfer funds relating to the Hiseville Cemetery and the court going into closed session concerning deliberations on the future acquisition of real property by county government in which publicity will likely affect the value of the property.

The second meeting is scheduled for 3:15 p.m. The notice was made public just after 3 p.m. Thursday.

The main item on the agenda is to consider the purchase of 22 Verity Print Bundles. According to documents distributed to the media late Thursday evening, this is an election-related purchase.

Meetings are open to the public with the exception of one agenda item. Both meetings will be held in the Fiscal Court Chambers on the third floor of the Barren County Government Center, 117 N. Public Square.
