George Thomas Biggerstaff, 75, of Tompkinsville, KY passed away Sunday, March 26th, at Monroe County Medical Center.

George was born in the Center Point Community of Monroe County, KY on November 26, 1947, a son of the late Mary  Frances (Crawford) and William Hobson Biggestaff.

On July 5, 1969, he married Bertha Mae Blythe at the courthouse in Tompkinsville, KY.

George worked at Monroe Sweet Feed Mill for 30 years, he then went to work for the next 17 years at Electron laying Fiber Optic before his retirement. George was of the Church of Christ faith. George is going to be remembered for his cooking skills especially his famous fried chicken.

George is survived by his wife, Mae Biggerstaff, a son, Ronnie Biggerstaff, both of Tompkinsville, KY;  one granddaughter, Vidalia Beaty, and husband, John, and one great granddaughter, Emily Elizabeth Biggerstaff.

George is also survived by two brothers, John Biggestaff, and wife, Wanda, of Tompkinsville, KY;  Gary Biggerstaff, and wife, Connie, of Summer Shade, KY.

Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Rosa Leeann Biggerstaff, his siblings, Jess Willard Biggerstaff, Dollie Thompson, Bill Biggerstaff, Clifford Biggerstaff, Betty Lou Turner, Mylinda Brandon and Flora Nell Copas

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 29th at Yokley Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, KY, with burial to follow at White Cemetery.

Visitation is Tuesday, 4-8 p.m., and Wednesday, 8:00 a.m. until service time at
1:00 p.m. at Yokley Trible Funeral Home.
