CAVE CITY — Three groups are partnering to tout local businesses ahead of a concert at Mammoth Cave in April.
The Cave City Chamber of Commerce, Cave City Tourism Commission and Barren Inc. said they plan to promote local attractions, lodging, restaurants and shopping since several people are expected to visit the region on April 29. The Louisville Orchestra will perform inside the cave with Yo-Yo Ma, a famed cellist.
“We want them to spend their dollars in Barren County, not Warren County or any other county,” a Cave City Chamber post said.
Businesses are urged to offer promotions related to the concert. These promotions will be advertised if submitted to the Chamber of Commerce by April 12, they said.
“For example, ‘Present your Yo-Yo Ma ticket stub when you pay and receive xx% discount,'” they illustrated, “‘or FREE ‘whatever’ with your ticket stub.'”
The collective advertisements will be on websites, Facebook, emails and other media.
