GLASGOW — Farmers RECC said Friday afternoon that crews had restored all power across its service region.

Over 16,000 people were without power after a severe wind storm impacted the area on March 3. The utility also said 120 poles were broken across its service region. Farmers RECC completed 625 outage repairs over seven days.

“We appreciate our members’ support and gracious words as we worked hard to restore power,” a news release said.

The utility thanked its staff, including linemen, service representatives, dispatching team members, fleet and warehousing personnel, those who handed daily tasks and those who kept the team fed. A slew of sister cooperatives and contracted construction crews also helped the restoration efforts.

“We also want to say a special ‘Thank You’ to our families,” the release said. “We understand the stress placed on our spouses, parents, grandparents, and friends when we have to miss family time or special occasions because the lights go out.”
