GLASGOW — A state of emergency has been declared in Glasgow and Barren County.

Glasgow Mayor Henry Royse and Barren County Judge/Executive declared the emergencies in response to wind damage sustained Friday morning and afternoon. The cleanup is expected to require many agencies, according to executive orders.

“This order prioritizes the need for this to be done expediently,” the city’s executive order said.

The state of emergency will remain in effect for the foreseeable future.
