GLASGOW — Police say they discovered cocaine during a traffic stop along Longhunters Trail Sunday.

Officer Allen Ward of Glasgow Police conducted the stop and confirmed the driver had a suspended license. The driver was supposed to have an ignition interlock device, which is used to ensure a driver is sober before driving. There was not one on the vehicle.

Officers identified the man as Dylan W. Gilbert, 23, of Bowling Green. Police allege he had cocaine inside the vehicle. Officers said they found a baggie in the middle console containing the cocaine along with a glass pipe. The pipe contained a white substance, according to a news release.

Gilbert was charged with driving on DUI suspended license, operating a motor vehicle without an ignition interlock device, first degree possession of a controlled substance (cocaine) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Gilbert was released from jail around 12:25 a.m. Monday, according to jail records. A court date was not immediately known.

Officer Allen Ward made the arrest. Josh Hardin assisted.
