Charles Alan Bomar

Charles Alan Bomar, 65, of Holland, KY passed away Monday, February 13, 2023 at Hospice House of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green, KY.  Alan was born in Austin, TX,  graduated from Allen County Scottsville High in 1975 and Lindsey Wilson College and retired from Sumitomo Electric Wiring Systems, where he served as Division Manager.  He attended Mt. Union United Methodist Church and loved his Savior, Jesus Christ, all members of his family, his dogs, nature, being outdoors, hiking, hunting and the mountains. 

He is survived by his wife of 46 years:  Joy Bomar, Holland, KY; 

3 daughters:  Ali Bechtold (Carl) and Elizabeth Peay  (Seth), all of Scottsville, KY; Kate Bomar (Caleb Meador), Cincinnati, OH; 

His parents:  Charles Edward “Ted” and Barbara Miller Bomar, Adolphus, KY; 

1 brother:  Gary Bomar (Ginger), Scottsville, KY; 

3 sisters:  Teddi Osborne (Steve) and Sandy Rainwater (Barry), all of Adolphus, KY; Becky Richards (Barry), Cross Plains, TN; 

2 grandchildren:  Ava Peay and Hank Bechtold; 

Several loved nieces and nephews, aunts, one uncle, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law and cousins. 

He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law and father-in-law:  Lucian and Louise Pardue; one nephew:  John Bomar and grandparents:  E. G. and Clarice Miller and Fred and Annie Bomar. 

Funeral service will 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Richard Jones and Bro. Justin Howard officiating and burial in Fountain Run Cemetery.  Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday and after 7:00 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at Goad Funeral Home.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice of Southern Kentucky.  Donations may be made at Goad Funeral Home.
