SALYERSVILLE, Ky. — A school bus crash in eastern Kentucky Monday morning sent 18 children and one driver to several hospitals.
The crash happened sometime before 7:21 a.m. along Kentucky 40/ Horsepen Fork. A school bus traveling westbound along the roadway apparently exited the roadway and down an embankment, according to a news release from Kentucky State Police.
There were 18 students, ranging from elementary to high school, on the bus at the time of the crash. Police said injuries range from minor to critical.
The details surrounding the crash are unclear.
