GREENVILLE — An 11-year-old Central City boy died in a car crash Tuesday in Muhlenberg County.
State police said a 2011 Chevy Malibu traveling southbound along Highway 181 exited the right shoulder of the roadway. It’s unclear why the vehicle went off the roadway. The vehicle struck an earth embankment and overturned.
Zachary Kangis, 11, of Central City, sustained fatal injuries in the crash. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
Rebecca Evans, 56, of Greenville, was transported to the community hospital in Muhlenberg County. Her conditions remains unknown.
The collision remains under investigation.
