Lavetric “Kathleen” Gravens, 94, of Whiteland, Indiana went to be with her Eternal Lord on Monday, April 18, 2022. She was born February 29, 1928 in Scottsville, Kentucky to the late Abe L. Wood and Lou J. Wheat Wood. Kathleen joined Bethel Missionary Baptist Church on June 14, 1959 and was a homemaker. In her free time, she loved doing word search puzzles and spending time with her precious grandchildren.
Survivors include her two sons, Jimmy Gravens of Trafalgar, Indiana and John Gravens (Julie) of Greenwood, Indiana; three grandchildren, Brandi Sizemore, Rachel Gravens, Zane Gravens; three great grandchildren, Halli Shyanne Smith, Cameron Lewis, Madyson Lewis; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Orene Wood, Erby Wood, Annie Simmons, Fannie Tinsley, L.B. Jackson, Johnnie Ree Doolin, and Rilla Hunt.
The funeral service for Mrs. Gravens will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, April 23rd at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Cedar Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday morning from 11:00 AM until time for the service at the funeral home. A. F. Crow & Son is honored to be entrusted in the care of Mrs. Gravens.
